Drummer Marco Franco is one of those very special and rare musicians that plays and writes in the most instinctive way possible. Very imaginative, Franco’s music takes us to a different place and time with each of his songs mixing childlike melodies with profound and arranged harmonies played by an excelent set of creative musicians.
Self taught, Franco has been an active force in the creative music scene in Portugal and abroad, having assembled Mikado Lab to produce his debut CD for TOAP Records.

Most of the tracks on “Baligo” (Tone of a Pitch), the band’s assured first record, are four minutes or less; they’re all written by Marco Franco, the drummer, who has a special ear for serpentine, flowing melodies.
